Tuesday:        Read The Vietnamese Restoration Society in Chapter 19. After the first reading, give a narration to a parent and complete the homework in the history notebook.

 

Wednesday:   Several articles regarding World War I have been downloaded and will be sent to you via email. Read the topic assigned to you below.  At the end of the article you will see a set of questions.  On a separate sheet of paper, please answer the questions and come prepared to talk about them in class on Thursday.  It is not necessary to print the article and bring it to class unless you want to have it available for your use when answering your questions.

 

We are going to make a pictorial timeline in class.  Students should bring a picture that is approximately the size of a piece of notebook paper to attach to the timeline.  Students may make color copies, draw, or download pictures.  For example, if the article you are assigned to read is about the field ambulance, bring a copy of the ambulance.  If you have the Battle of the Somme article, you might want to bring a picture of the trenches.

 

Students are welcome to read other articles that are sent by e-mail.

Samisoni and Germaine each have two jobs.  The jobs are dentist, carpenter, electrician, and house cleaner.  The dentist doesn’t know a ground wire from a live wire.  Samisoni is not the carpenter.  Germaine is not the dentist.  Find each person’s two jobs.
