Keep working on your memory verse and definition recitation for the character trait, discretion and be prepared to recite them on Monday or Thursday of next week.

Wednesday:   Take the history test over Chapters 20 and 21.  The test is almost exclusively devoted to World War I.  The test questions were reviewed with students in class.  This test is longer than other tests so the student may take it over a period of two days.  Students should review the hand-outs, history notebook questions, and the notes taken in class.  Students are encouraged to write other facts for extra credit.

Mr. Reisenfeld, Ms. Joeli, and Mr. Ngogi entered vegetables in the annual garden show.  They

won first, second, and third prizes.

The cabbage won the second prize.

The beet won a higher prize than Mr. Reisenfeld’s vegetable, which was not the cabbage.

Ms. Joeli’s vegetable won first prize.

What prize was won by each vegetable, and who entered each vegetable?

 

6th Graders:

Four men want to cross a deep river.  The river has poisonous fish in it, so it isn’t safe for the

men to be in the water.

There is no bridge.

The men have an old boat that will hold only two of them at a time.

Only one of the men can row.

Two of the other men dislike each other, and they fight whenever they are alone.
