Thursday:      4th Grade: Complete your reading of Chapters 20-25 of The Sign of the Beaver. 5th and 6th Grade: Complete your reading of Chapters 20-25 of The Sign of the Beaver. and answer the questions on your literature guide.* Please use complete sentences when answering the questions. Question 15 is extra credit for 5th graders.

 

5th and 6th Graders: Write the memory verse, definition and quotation for the character trait, courtesy, in your copywork notebook.

Try this: Make a list of three practical things you can do to make a difference in someone’s life today and do two of them. (Example: hold a door open for someone, guard the tone of your voice, say please and thank you for things you normally take for granted, etc.) Come to class on Monday prepared to share one thing that made a difference in someone’s day.

 

Friday:          4th and 5th Graders: Review the following spelling words below. Have your parent test you and record his/her score at the bottom of the assignment sheet.

Sounds of igh, oa: high, thigh, light, flight, fright, tight, load, oats, boat,   oak

 

6th Graders: Review the following spelling words below. Have your parent test you and record his/her score at the bottom of the assignment sheet.

Regular Long Sound of U, as in mute. marked u: lieu, suit, beauty, cubic, fluid            juice, beautiful, cuticle, mutiny, purity

 

Parent Responsibility: Make sure that the student has completed the homework assignments. Review the memory verse with the student. Record the spelling test results below.
